I have been having an on going problem with these amps blowing fuses. Even spoke with JL tech support.
Here's the setup. 2 JL 500/1 series one slash amps running 2 JL 10W7.One amp per sub. 4 gauge running from the battery through a 150 amp fuse. Into a dist. block with 4 gauge coming from the dist. block to each amp. Each amp fused at dist. block with 40 amp fuses.(upon JL recommendation). Each amp grounded with 4 gauge going to a dist block and from the block to the body of the car with 4 gauge sanded metal and a 1/2" bolt, star washer and nut. I originally had just one amp running one speaker and it would blow the 40's after about 10 @ 3/4 volume. It was even blowing 60 amp fuses. So with the new setup it will blow one fuse at about 10 min. and the other at about 15-20 min. JL recommended running 2 gauge or better for 2 amps, but I was blowing fuses with one amp also.Any ideas would be great.

You need to monitor the DC voltage on the B+ and ground terminal of the amps while it's playing at about the time that the fuse blows. How low does the voltage drop?
