Hello I have a JL 250/1 V2. Does anyone have a service manual or a schematic? Came to me with blown output transistors. I replaced them and I have a driver circuit issue
Thank you
Thank you
Fixed that problem, it was bad via's. New problem bad output filter inductor. Ones 40.2uh the other one is 0.2uh. The cores are cracked, I was thinking of rewinding it. Not sure what the inductance should be. I'll unwind it and count the turns
The v1 uses a 2-piece core. Even if they are cracked, they will work as long as the pieces fit tightly together.
40uH is probably about right. I have one I read at 41.8uH.

Had a chance to work on this amp again got the wire in. It was actually about 23.5- 24 AWG. Anyways rewound the inductor and got a reading of 41.5uH at 1Khz. So now they both get hot when playing a test frequency. About 140F in 5 mins.
I have a rail voltage square wave on 1 inductor but not the other. one of the output fet gates has 75v.
With the black meter probe on the main ground terminal, what's the DC voltage on the positive and negative speaker terminals?
The inductors need to be in the circuit. You can temporarily solder them in on short lengths of wire if that makes it easier.
The amp isn't operating if you have 0v DC on both outputs.
What happened from post #6 where the amp was functioning?

It works with the inductors in and 33v on the terminals. That means that the 75v on the gate isn't there. Right?
Do they heat to 140F in 5 minutes with no load at idle?
What's the heatsink temperature?
