JJ now do a 6SL7 and 6SN7

I'm personally quite fond of JJ valves and 6SN7s so in my view this is good news, it's also good news that there's another producer of 6SN7s about. I have always hoped they'd make these at some point. Also new from them is their 12BH7.

These are using the triodes from their ECC803s and ECC802s tubes.

If the triode assemblies inside their 6SN7 are the same as they use for their ECC802, and if their ECC802 is basically a 12AU7 (ECC82), then that would make their 6SN7 an 'octal 12AU7.' Is that 'good'?

Then again, a 12AU7 uses 6.3V 300mA for its heater, while a 6SN7 uses 6.3V 600mA. So they can't be *exactly* the same.

Another question is if their 6sl7 has a gain of 70 or 100. The plates are the same, the filament and grid wind may be slightly different. They can use much of their existing equipment to make these new tubes. I have used their 6sn7 tubes and they work well. Maybe a filament current measurement is in order.
