Just landed four of these. Another piece of kit made in the yorkshire golden triangle - I think Ilkley. One works and sounds great to my ears. One works but is very distorted and two are dead. I'm looking forward to restoring these. Has anybody any experience with these units?
I can only add some background for the members: The Skipton company Castle Acoustics liaised with British amplifier manufacturer, JDI Amplification, also based in Yorkshire at nearby Ilkley, to make these monoblock power amplifiers in the late 80s. The rated output power is 60 W RMS into 8 ohm.
Fortunately, one of your 4 monoblocks is working so you will be able to measure the voltages at all the strategic points in the circuit.

Great. Do you have one Galu? Believe it or not when I colleted the amps their was a schmatic and parts list included so If anybody needs these just ping me. Happy to photo and post if there is interest.

No, I don't have one of these - merely attempting to jog people's memories.
Armed with a working example, a schematic, and the fact that the circuit employs discrete components, hopefully you'll find the troubleshooting to be relatively straightforward.

Display them here, it will be a worldwide reference for those who come across these rare amps.
