I fixing to have the woofers repaired, after the repair will they still as good when they were new. I had them put away for long time and the woofers rotted. I plan to use them some how in home theater setup if possible..I know, they are old school

You could replace the caps in the crossover, maybe add .01uf around tweeter caps if you are super tweaky.
Depending on caps (careful not to get carried away), it should be as good if not better.

Finally got around to removing the woofers, found a toy and $5.00 bill that my son put in there when he was a kid.
