JBL L55 Question

I am rebuilding the crossovers in a pair of JBL L55 loudspeakers. I have upgraded all of the parts with the exception of a pair of inductors that have four leads coming from them. I followed the schematics to the letter but the resulting sound was somewhat harsh and distorted when the tweeter attenuator switch was in any other than the low setting. Should I assume that this inductor/autoformer is not doing its job properly? Could I just seperate the four leads into pairs measuring the outer and inner leads and replace each pair with an air core inductor? Where might I find a supplier for a replacement? The schematic shows the inductor to measure 3mh. I have never seen an inductor with four leads coming from it. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance, Zipplok
