Hi- I'm building a 4x12 cab with (4) 8ohm speakers- I want to wire it parallel so it can run mono at 8 ohms (full cab) and stereo at 4 ohms (esencially (2) 2x12s)- for the switching, I'm using a DPDT switch for the mono/stereo and (2) mono jacks-
I'm using a schematic from Shavano's site as a model-
but like I said, I'm wiring mine parallel- here's my diagram-
how does my hook up look for what Iwant to do? first time doing something like this so any help is appreciated- thanks!

An externally hosted image should be here but it was not working when we last tested it.

With four 8 ohm drivers, your stereo setting will indeed result in a pair of 2x12, 4 ohm sets. But throw the switch to mono, and the two 4 ohm pairs will be in parallel with a resulting impedance of 2 ohm, not 8 ohms.
The only way to get an 8 ohm total from four 8 ohm drivers is a series/parallel wiring circuit.
