Does anybody know if this monitor would dissasemble the same as the Lilliput 7" XGA?
It seems to carry the same specs, and would be considerably cheaper for me to order from Quebec.

From what I can find on it, it seems to be very similar except for the contrast ratio of 150:1 where as the lilli is 200:1
Good price and should yield a good pic🙂

Yeah,
I would want the VGA input as I use a component to VGA converter for my XBOX.

I have a brand new Lilliput 7" XGA with a diylabs triplet for sale. Iam looking to get $270 USD shipped. Please reply for question or email me at johnzo1995@yahoo.com
The only 8" lilli with vga I can find has 921600 pixels. That means 640 x 480 x 3. Is there another model?

Maybe I should have named this thread something else, but I opened it to discuss the Innovatek 7" LCD that is available from mp3playerstore.com
I don't want to be a whiner, but I'm afraid that the point of the thread is getting lost talking about other LCD's.
Does anybody have any experience with dismantling this model for projection?

sorry, that is my fault.
Anyway, I am also interested in the Innovatek 7" VGA. Do you have a good plan for it?

No plan as of yet.
I am going to get my 3M 6100 into a custom case, and throw a 250W ( or more ) MH light source behind it.
Once I see how bright of a projection I get out of that, I will then decide whether or not I go with the 7" widescreen or 15" 4:3 true XGA.
I work with commercial projectors on a daily basis, so I have pretty high lumen aspirations.

Flood? ... I think that you are thinking of the Prairies. I'm in the Rockies.
Thanks for the kind thought but Ithink that we are getting off topic again. I'll send your thoughts along to my Mom in Saskatchewan.
Back on topic, I suspect that this monitor would be very similar to the Xenarc 700 series, which someone has already tagged as being NOT DIY friendly.
If anyone finds out anymore about the Innovatek line, please post it here.

It seems at lease INNOVATEK in700b (480*243) is very easy to strip:
