got a commercial projector with no bulb off ebay (plan to make my own light engine for it..wish me luck i need it!!) ...and it came with the lens cracked...friken canada post...there was a fragile sticker on the box...but it says ceramics and glass not covered if damaged...*******s..anyway..it looks like its like just an outer protecting glass, but the glass has a green tint to it when you look get a reflection of light on it....but the lens seems to be ok under it (see pic 2) so my question is if i just removed whats broken will i still get the same image quality asuming the lens under it is ok???

well my first poblem is getting the projector to work....i dont have a bulb and without one the unit wont function..it turns on but the lcds wont run without a bulb...most commercial projectors have this feature ...and i have to figure out how to trick the projector into thinking the original bulb is in when its not..and then figure out a way to make my own light engine fit....
