Great amps are always desirable even if a manufacturer didn’t make it himself. 🙂
That looks like a recording studio - not sure if that’s a PS Audio lab, which typically looks more like what’s in this video.

Paul has often told good things about Nelson and also told that it is his friend (from watching some of the videos).
In some areas they don't agree. I have found at least two.
Paul does not like Open Baffle speakers and speakers with high sensitivity (he claims that the low sub-bass is missing in those).
I guess Paul is not fan of the FW-stuff and the low power amps we built here but he is probably a fan of the Pass Labs big power amps.
PA Audio produce a lot of Class-D amps which also differs from Pass Labs amps. But good with some diversity........
I guess there is a reason why Pass Labs does not make power regenerators (is one of PA Audios main products) and Paul is a big fan of those.

It's their old studio. Finishing touches are completing on a separate new DSD facility called Octave Studios. I kinda like corny grandpa but from some of the build practices I saw in the videos he's in for a few unpleasant surprises. That looks like a recording studio
Well, he seems to get the fact that you need lots of cone area to get things moving in a lovely and beautifully powerful, and truely effortless musical way.
By judgement of his small reference speakers…🙃

Small. 🙃
But. The ”Recording quality superiority way back then” is by the way: Pure ”i have got a new studio” salesman bullcrap. 🙂

In some of Paul's DSD videos he goes on and on about his belief that it's the best recording/reproduction method available. PS Audio is dropping (from memory) over a million dollars plus on a studio to record and release original DSD music, including in-house development of a native DSD mixing system. He also has little hope DSD will ever become mainstream and has a minimal chance of survival. I think in this regard he's a genuine true believer.Pure ”i have got a new studio” salesman bullcrap.
The IRS were moved out of the main listening room to make way for PS Audio's new aspen FR30 statement speakers. Eight bass radiators per side with strangely high planar mid/tweeter placement.

I remember him from the early days, we stopped in Santa Maria, toured the factory and talked with Paul & Stan. Saw my first pair of homemade Accoustat 1+1s. These followed. That guy puts me to sleep. I guess its a good thing.

They apoligized when the brought out the big green garbage bag and apologized that they were at the bottom of the bag as they stuffed a baggy with herb. Boy wa sit nice. We were happy. Slept well somewher ein the foothills of the Seirra Nevadas.
Like everyone i sift thru what he says to add to audio space. I have a client/old buddy across the straight that is abig PS Audio fan.
