Is expensive better choice than cheap?

Ultimately, purchasing wisely is the better choice than purchasing blindly, or "throwing a dart" as you are here.

Sure, your dart might land on the advice of someone who has interests and priorities similar to yours...
...or it might land on the advice of someone who is off in another world. 😉

Yes, the Audison is the better amp, and if money is no object - will be the "safer bet" for producing satisfying results.
But for one thing, that's assuming that the cosmetics of the Audiobahn don't suit your car/install better, and also that you aren't prioritizing that higher than the finesse and detail related to the sound quality of the amplifier... and that's just one consideration, to say nothing of budget.

Ultimately, we all have different tastes, wallets, goals, etc.
We all hang in different circles of people who respect different things.
We all have system designs that are built around different plans.

Much depends on experience...
Do you have much experience with audio? Would you appreciate the subtleties in the difference in sound between the Audison compared to the Audiobahn? Or would you not know the difference? Do you even know how to set the gain controls properly on an amplifier?

Yes, the Audison is a superior amplifier.

Is it worth the difference from $600 to $1500?
That much is completely dependent on you and your goals. 😉

Well i gotta friend(experienced) who said that it is even cheaper to make such thing like audison for price even lower than audiobahn.Well i want to use audison for the bass unit and i dont understand what is the difference between audiobahn and audison ,when you hear only boom.boom,boom...And well yes i can afford it 🙂 it is the top of my budget ,but i think it is worth it?

Try to find a used Proton 275...you'll simply love it
My experience with this ampli is very good ..... even if it maked my sub (ESB 46 cm !!!!) out.
Incredible peak power (something about 400 W each channel) and sound really OK, sorry for my friends at Audison, really good sounding amply but also very expensive.

Well, if Boom, Boom, Boom is all you want then get whatever amplifier with as much W RMS output as your budget will allow and throw in a Venga Boys CD (sorry, I couldn't resist).

But, if you want, "Fast", tight, accurate sound (Good coil control) then you want an efficient, high-current amplifier that is very stable. This is where the audison most likely out performs the Audiobahn. Higher slew rates, thicker gauge coils, wire, more gold plated anything, more stable SMPS circuit, etc.

Ok i understand everything....But the main thing still remains undisclosed what about building smth like audison in DIY Project?
Ok example: circuit is the same ,components not cheap and crappy ,and rather good pcb??So what the difference would it have from Audison?? what will make it different to sound to manufacture made??

P.S. i realy dont listen to that **** Like Venga... believe me...
Mostly House,Dance and pure techno... 😛 and some old GOOD rock'n'roll😀

I know, but the boom boom booms.

Anyway, in most cases it would "sound" better because you'd be using better quality solder and human solder joints seem to be better than the factory solder joints that I've seen of late.

Who knows? Maybe the Audison is more expensive because it has good factory solder joints.

To Mr Bose(o)

I don't like boom boom... Proton is a low cost solution with quite good sound and enoug power to succesfully drive any kind of speaker. Personally in my car now I use an old Harman Kardon with handmade tube pre and Infinty K speakers (very easy impedance module), but it is very rare to find and the cost.... I remember I paid for my system about 3000 euros.
Maybe I have underlined the power of the Proton cause I know usually folks want "boom boom"
Also the music you listen is important, my preffered music in car is fusion (GRP) and some acid jazz (James Taylor Quartet, Incognito, BNH ecc.) but I know folks usually listen Dance, Trance and other boom boom music, so....... I don't think our friend want a lot of power only to listen to classical or synphonic music 😀

Another thing about the costs of hi-fi (car, home).
There is a strange philosophy that let us belive more cost more quality, a clean example is 47Lab or gainclone that sell a 100$ amplifier at 2.815 $ (only amplifier without any accessories).

In most cases of DIY kits PCB costs as much as all components all together(even IC's and transistors),bur i've never bought manufacture made PCB,i always made it myself. So even in this case all system cost is twice lower than with manufacture PCB....Plus all bunch of taxes and u get four times more expensive project....So i think it's worh it,trying to make it on my own(with friend help 🙂 ).
