I don't know about you, but that tree looks kind of creepy to me... but then again, so is Disney if you really stop and think about it.
WSJ article on Efteling - I was thinking that taking the grand-daughter, then hopping on a cruise to Basel, over to garmish and munich to see the castles which inspired Disney would be more memorable and less tiring than Orlando. The food is so much better in Munich.

Efteling is in holland near kaatsheuvel...... it's fun , but there are better options if you like speed and adrenaline. The efteling has a very nice farrytail kind of wood....nice for young kids, especially if they're too little for large attractions.

I was born within 100 feet of Efteling. Spend most of my childhood years inside. Yeah I know, it shows.
Of course it's the best in the world, no question about it!

Look at the Amanita Muscaria mushrooms around the tree 😉 Just the thing we want to encourage our kids to get into. Makes one wonder at the association between fairy tales and hallucinations 😉
I have been in Disney twice (Orlando). Man those huge queues. And creepy men inside Mickeys costumes. Not recommended.
no question about it!
Aaargh, my cousin went there once a year, each and every time she forced me along, +10 years in a row.
Like I hadn't see it often enough already before I turned highschool grade, No, child-abused to go over there annually till my early 20s.
For some reason this still hits my sentimental button : Efteling - De Indische Waterlelies (HQ multicam registratie) - YouTube
(probably because of this : Kapitein Zeppos - YouTube )
