As title sez - one name, two preamps.
Irreverent SE, logically, being for single ended signal arrangement, so 5 RCA inputs, and one RCA output; I'm usually mounting doubled RCA outputs, wired simply in parallel.
Irreverent (no suffix), balanced signal configuration, any number of 5 inputs can be arranged as (permanently) SE/RCA, balanced output can be wired to one or two (parallel) XLRs, or one XLR and (parallel) RCA
Irreverent is nothing else than unnecessary complicated Fancy Iron Pre, having all the bells and whistles on board (big one), with integral 128 steps resistive attenuator, governed with little Arduino Gizmo and there is shiny TFT and heavy remote.
Dazzling, Shiny and Overwhelming characteristics speech: Fully dual mono (custom made 20VA Donut for audio circuitry is having separate secondaries for channels; custom made 10VA Donut feeding all things Logic and switching), ultragigamega shunt regs, OhYeah! Toshiba For Audio JFets serving in buffers, precious Fujitsu relays for everything what's switched, volume attenuation constant Rin 24K, 128 steps of 0.56db each, ranging from -71.7 to 0db, and then (whadasurprize) autoformer (Cinemag or Jensen or Edcor repeaters) gain, settable to either +6 or +12db, yadayada.......
Button on front, fiddle left-right to set volume, push for incremental cycle through inputs 1 to 5.
I'll present files for SE only, balanced is more or less same with appropriate subcircuits doubled (buffers, attenuator)

Drekload of pics, some phone quality, some worse than
Case shown is Modushop Slim-line 2U/280 with appropriate base plate; cutout is necessary, no other way to situate IDC connector on logic module. Small price to avoid going to first deeper case, which is 350mm

Funny vid; special Greeting screen - that specimen (as some of you may remember) was made for my Nephew, to fight against Crocs in Miami, Fl.

Hmmm…I have a pair of Slagle Autoformers I got cheap in the swap meet that I want to use with my Iron Pre SE kit which will most likely replace my KISSed DCB1 in the bedroom system.
You think there might be a way to tear the selector switches off of the Slagle’s and use one of your logic kits with them?

As I wrote many times before - I'm finding cheapest (was 200, now 300$) Slagle autoformers as very easy for implementation in Iron Pre, thinking about easy "give me some gain" arrangement
for my knowledge, some of more costly iterations ( thinking at that one with 2 rotary switches) are more complicated
now, whatever number of positions/steps your autoformers are having, no easy way to implement that in - say - Irreverent scheme; main reason being - for autoformer buffer goes in front of it, while for resistive attenuator buffer goes afterwards
it would be simply non-elegant to mount anything on this combo, with zillion of additional wires
or, as more adequate cradle - (using or not Iron Pumpkin SE and) mounting Slagle in Iron Turtle pcb instead of my own AVCs ........ due to differences in physical shape, simply non-elegant.
live with switches, what's wrong with that?
As explained and drawn, just short attenuator pads in Iron Pre SE, wire Slagle in place of Cinemag/Jensen) and that's it

How about two remotes? One per channel in the Irrelevant Fully Balanced Version. No SE whatsoever. None.
Of maybe.... how about a two board Irresponsible Fully Dual Monoblock Balanced Version?
That way we have balanced control.
It works great in the Iron Pre Bal.... having two volume controls.
Oh.. then you need the Irresponsible Zen Signature Fully Dual Monoblock Balanced Version! Move the power supply and the Arduino controls to a different box and use TWO, not one, TWO, Irregular Zen Umbilical Connectors to carry the power to the analog section and keep the digital separate.
To be honest, it looks really neat, but I'd miss the ability to control the channel balance which I find one of the biggest strengths in the current Iron Pre Bal.
Nice job, though... as usual.
Will there be a Cyrillic option?
Actually, moving the control box separate... hmm.. it could be a nice mod (add on) to a current Iron Pre...

Not "channel balance"... not a balance circuit. Just separate gains for Left and Right.
Make it hard... it's High End after all.
How much memory you got left on the controller? You might add menus...
Default, volume to both channels -as set below.
Push One, selection, rotate to select input, push to select.
Push Twice, control Left gain
Push Three times, control right gain.
Or you could use the push button you selected for the Mute.

If I didn't already have Franks Muse and Bal Iron Pre all ready to build, I'd definitely jump on this. It's going to be a very popular preamp! Thanks ZM! Omnigenerous of you.

Yes!
I keep thinking the same thing.
Leverage the new logic control circuit into an existing unit.... If you love your current Iron preamp... but just want to add couch potato control...
