Interesting Interconnect Cables

I've recently visited a Japanese website (–³‘èƒhƒLƒ…ƒƒ“ƒg) and am inspired by its interconnect cable design. Based on which, I used 30 awg magnet wires instead of silver wires as suggested by the website, strips cutting from a piece of table mat and 4 cheap rca plugs to make a pair of them, with very satisfactory results. The sound is amazingly good.

I have made several rca cables with 30 awg magnet wires but with different designs from this one before; they all sound good to me. Would anyone of you like to tell me what are the benefits of this particular cable geometry design?

Thanks for your sharing.

Relatively low capacitance, relatively high inductance, relatively high sensitivity to EM interference?

Interesting & clever variation on one of Allen Wright's receipes. Should be high value for the dollar.

Now you can improve them by using lower metal mass RCAs. Eichmann or WBT at the high end, the cheapies ($5 for 8 or 10) at The Source (aka Radio Shack) with the plastic shells punch way above their price.

You want to use natural material (cotton is good) for both the sunstrate and the cover.
