I have a 2002 Ford Explorer that I am getting ready to install a new (used) Eclipse head unit, DLS r6a door speakers, (front doors only, no rears), and will be powering them with a Planet Audio P-2150 two channel power amp. This is my first install so please understand that I am still learning! I want to make sure that I obtain all the right stuff needed to get the gear up & running.
I have an instal kit and wiring harness for my head unit. I have a pair of 6 x 8 to 6&1/2 speaker adapter for my front 6&1/2 inch mids, (not sure where I am going to mount the tweeter yet, suggestions?) as well as a pair of wire adapters for the front door speakers.
For the amp, I figured that I could get all of the stuff needed to install the amp, separately so that I could get better quality.
For the amp install I have a 25 foot length of wire for the power and ground wire, as well as a 25 foot length of RCA cables for hooking up to the head unit, and also a 100a fuse and fuse holder, plus 4 ring terminals for the power wire, and also a 15 foot length of 8 awg wire for the remote to turn the amp on at the head unit.
Is this sufficient?

You do not need 8 AWG wire for the remote turn on.. 14 gauge should work just fine..
Also how are you going to wire your components in the door to the amp ??
I saw that u listed wire adapters but didnt say anything about speaker wire to run from the doors back to the amp

Hmm.. I forgot about that. I will need some speaker wire, probably 20ft or so to run from my door speakers to my amp. Will 12 awg suffice for this? The amp will be mounted under my seats in the front if the vehicle so the runs from the doors to the amp will be small as I am not going to use any door speakers in the rear. What else will need? How should I hook up the crossovers?
