Got myself a old but pretty nice Inkel MX991 8ch mixer. It seems to work ok, gonna use it for plain rehersal with the band and an all analog cassette studio. 8ch to Stereo.
Really like the character of the sound and was thinking if i could get some
new opamps to "refresh" it. Its a little bit muddy and from what i see the
opamps are very very high-gain type, maybe theres a little more gentle
with more clarity.
1-8 Channel pcb: 1st ic: T TA7136AP *5f SIL
2nd ic: 4558DD JRC 5005
REST OF AMP: 4558DD JRC 5005 (DIP)
DELAY pcb: one MN3005 and one MN3101
+ two 4558DD JRC 5005

There is a MX991 circuit schematic on snoogle but thats a little bit different from
the original schematic that i got from the seller, op-amps for an example.
Do these old mixers have transistors worth replacing for some add tone?
The opinion seems to be that many are crapped by users, but some really like the sound of them. The delay is really cool. Gonna keep this mixer as long as i live, def. Its just the whole thing, the feel, the looks. Character deluxe.
Havent slept for a very long time, analysing Mr Inkels soul is amazing!
