Hello!
Any of you guys can get me out of the mess I got in? Bought a pair of RS-8A Infinity speakers also known on the net as RS-8B Infinity and I need the wiring diagram for them Bass, Mids, Tweeters coresponding + and -.
The wires inside are: Bass Red and Red/Black
Midranges: White and White/Black
Tweeter: Blue and Blue/Black
Wel heartache and pleasure to have them was brought by this:
Pros:
-Good cabs almost pristine
- Refoamed all W and MIDS
Cons:
- Minus clip missing
- Order of polarity switched behind on one
- One bass was having polarity different set than the other
- One bass was shaking something inside when imput was sent into it
- Mids were having theyr surrounds not glued onto theyr edges only quarter of one was glued with the old glue that was diluted with solvent and afterward the surround was placed onto it in the hope that it will glue itself onto it.
Final idea the drivers that were faulty were sent into service!
Plese if possible help with the necesasary shematic for reconnecting the drivers with correct polarity for these speakers!
Thank you!

Well assume that for:
Bass Red is + Red/Blk is -
Mids White is + and White/Blk is -
Tweeters Blue is * and Blue/Black is minus
No?

Three way Infinity RS8B:
Infinity Reference Serie
Refoamable:
Lautsprecher Technik - Infinity RS 8A Speaker Surround Re-Foam Repair Kit - Midrange
Usually Bass +ve, Mid -ve , Tweeter -ve polarity if the crossover is similar to this.
SEAS-3-Way-Classic
If it was a time-aligned design, LR2 goes +-+. But it's not here.

Hey! Thanx! Sorry for the late reply! I have reassembled them and they sound very good! Thank you very much! And I appreciate your effort very much into helping me solve this problem for these speakers this time as well! Oszkar
Back on them with one problem + and - went on them with an AAA battery for the sake of proof all is right now and Problem:
One of them pulls the bass in with the battery test.
Opened them up from top to bottom and all goes well and the same inside them till the crossovers, took some pics and uploaded them.
I noticed only one thing different in one of them:
- On one of the crossovers the big coil is placed inverse and the glu underneath it is another collor, light white than old yellow.
- Could this be the problem? Should I reverse wire soldering (their endings inversed and soldered back on)?
BTW Picture 1 depicts the inverse polarity smptom manifesting speaker!

Also check out the big caps one is having the writing going the other directio, could this be a contributing factor to the malfunction?
Well finaly made it! Phase sound plenty of bass for their size after re intervention:
What I heard uppon a time was that in some speakers Infinity made some changes without notice such as collor coding switch in this case for the bass.
I got the SM but no color of the wire in accordance to the + and - of the driver.
My mistake was that on one by mistake I placed correct The + and - and on the other one I placed Red to + and Red/Blk to -.
- Tweeter: Blue wire + and Blu/Blk wire -
- Midranges: White wire + and Wht/Blk wire -
- Bass: Red/Blk wire + and Red wire -
Most would say red is plus and red/Blk. It was an honest mistake. Btw XOs are ok but still turned upside down the big air coil so that they look the same and the caps remain the same as factory assembled one running upwards and one downwards with their writin printed on them. They are NP btw so no worry there! The finishing touch was filling the cracks and göueing the broken parts of the XOs lids with super glue and then sanding down the excess so that minimal glueing is seen on them. Btw the plastic on these speaker connectors is brittle and easely to break by now after all these years of them being present out there playing in the world and also might have many cracks in them as they began to break due to the screws that kept them screwed down all these years!
Thank you!
