Infinity RS-8 Subwoofer Removal

I purchased a pair of Infinity RS-8 towers from Circuit City in 1993 or 1994 and have since blown one of the 8 inch subwoofers. The problem is Infinity seems to have glued the subwoofer in the cabinet and used four screws to secure it until the glue dried. The problem I'm having is removing the glued in subwoofer. So fare I have tried prying it out with a screw driver, heat gun and pliers without any success (haven't got it to budge). I have included a picture of the subwoofer for reference. Has anyone removed the 8 inch subwoofer from this model or have an ideas on how to remove it? I appreciate any advice.

If driver is buggered

Use hammer and chisel forcing the driver in a circular motion

Or cut out the cone and use a wrench or pry bar between basket gaps again forcing in a circular motion and with pressure against the cabinet do not try to pop it out but try breaking the bead
