I have a question on the type of inductor to use (gauge and core type) in my application:
1-1.2mH inductor and 5-10ohm resistor are flattening out the response nicely.
This is the project and the baffle step is for the SB Acoustics FR drivers.

Inductor:
1. small as possible to not degrade sound quality
2. baffle step in a FR driver. sealed box.
Resistor:
1. wattage?
thanks!

A 1mm (19gauge) diameter cable air core and a 10w resistor will be very safe and not to big. Ferriet cores will have minor quality loss due to eddy current and histeries in the core.
Thanks for the clear answer. Can I mount the resistor inside of the air cored Inductor, just to save some space?

No, as the resistor has metal parts in it that will change the specs of the inductor.
