I have been into music since I was 1 or so, I am now 49. I have played with car audio forever and have always had a nice system in my house. I recently bought 11 Mono Amps from a company that claimed they produce 240Ws each into a 4 Ohm load and having a .006 percent distortion level. I must say they are pretty close, my Onkio is not nearly as clean and lacks the power. At this point I kinda wished I had just bought two for the LR channels and then 4 for my subwoofers as I am finding I like true stereo more than anything. The surround for movies I think would have been just fine from my Onkio.
Anyways, I am here cause I want to learn about crossovers and how to calculate them and see about making my own custom-built speakers that will fit my listening needs. I have built many subwoofer enclosures from basic builds to 5th order bandpass enclosures. I am itching to build a sealed 4way enclosure with a 10" two 6' then two tweeters, one from 3.5K to 12K or so then a super from 12K on up. Hopfully I am not biting off more than I can chew but I am sure going to try.
