Identifying resistor

Hi all , how do you tell which side to read a resistor from ?
I have this burnt one , but should it be 470 ohms or 210 ohms ?

470 as the pink/red band has a space and is the tolerance value.

Thanks , so if there is a space in the bands it is orientated on the right hand side as you look at it ?

Shouldn't that be 4-7-0-0-1 which is 4700 and one more zero, at 2% (red), or 47K 2%?

2% resistor would not have 4 significant digits. Even 1% only has three. Brown is the tolerance, red band with a space is likely something else - tempco maybe.
