How are you using it? Analog inputs or digital?
The Hiface EVO seems to be digital only so it's not clear what you mean by the minidsp "sounding" different? The EVO doesn't have have any sound (analogue outputs), or does it ?
Which mininDSP board are you using, 2x4, 2x8 or 8x8 ?
I have had both the 2x4 and 8x8 and i would say the 8x8 is step up in audio quality, but you know, it's hard to be scientific about it.
At the end of the day you get quite a lot of processing for the money. The DAC technology is only part of the focus, and hence so is the audio quality.
Depending on how important it is you could always add external DAC's fed by the I2S outputs.

it must be a 2x4 balanced,I ,mean if I feed the DAC directly from the EVO it doesn´t sound "plastic".
So you mean that when you feed the MiniDSP with a digital signal and without any processing whatsoever (no filters, no EQ, no delays, no nothing) feeding your DAC with the digital out from your MiniDSP it makes the sound "plastical" compared to direct from EVO to DAC?
What are the two setups you are comparing, what is connected to what ?
The DAC you mention, is that the one built into the miniDSP or another dedicated unit?

Yes,thats how it´s connected, all digital.Plastic or syntetic. So you mean that when you feed the MiniDSP with a digital signal and without any processing whatsoever (no filters, no EQ, no delays, no nothing) feeding your DAC with the digital out from your MiniDSP it makes the sound "plastical" compared to direct from EVO to DAC?
Interesting, so i'm guessing there is also a miniDIGI involved?
Seems from the manual that the process flow is SPDIF input > I2S (+Upsampling) > I2S output > SPDIF conversion for output. So perhaps it is the upsampling/downconversion that is afffecting the audio quality.
Have you tried configuring the mininDIGI in "loopback" to link up spdif input to spdif output? I don't know if this cuts out the sample rate conversion, but you could probably hear if there is a difference.

How do I do that seems complicated.
