I'm building a small portable speaker system using two 2.5 inch full range drivers from visaton, and a 2x15 watt tripath amplifier board. I am going to seal the wooden cabinet and attach an acrylic box on the side for the amp board. I was wondering what dampening materials are best and how much the dimensions of the cabinet matter with such small speakers.
Mother nature does not change the laws of physics because your speakers are small. Do your homework in something like WInIDS to find the answer. You will see how much the box size matters. It may be the difference between 120 Hz and 200Hz cutoff.
For sealed speakers, just plain old fiberglass is still the best.

Thanks, i checked and it says optimium speaker cabinet volume and my design are almost exactly in line with one another. Now, what is the best way to connect the wires to the speakers, like do you need special solder?
