Hello,

I found this picture. You will find it very amusing. I have heard aluminum foil, but never seen a steel screw used as a fuse.

Indeed, good children would never do this as the very person who took this picture.

That is pretty damn stupid...

🙄 I sure hope everybody realizes how stupid this is...

:att'n:ATTENTION NEWBIES: DON'T DO THIS:att'n:

I just don't understand why people do dumb-*** things like this.

By the way, does anybody know if metric threads sound better than imperial threads?

Depends on whether your AC mains frequency is in Hertz or cycles per second respectively. Of course, right hand threads only work properly for electron current flow; you need a left hand thread for conventional current. Something to do with the direction of electron spin I hear. 😉

Whataheck,

Why not use silver wire and dip the entire amplifier into liquild helium? Liquid helium tank must be surrounded by liquid nitrogen and water heat exchangers to prevent evaporation thus explorsion.

(You know Helium gas pressure will blow the tank up. Which could make a mess in your kitchen.)

fuze

heh seen that before i was doing some work in a buddys apartment . i blew a fuze so i went to the fuze box just to find all
the fuzes where pennys $500 dollers later had to rewire

danger do not use pennys as fuzes.....fire hazard:skull:

Just about as stupid

as the old story about guys who used .22 cal long rifle bullet as replacement for AGC fuse in their truck. It of course exploded.

(Have no idea if this is urban ledgend or not. Knowing more than a few rednecks, it sounds plausable).
