Hi guys I just picked up an ctx ezpro 550 which is also called the lightware vp800 and the proxima lb30 and I bought 2 brand new bulbs for it. I plug it in and it starts clicking. I check to see if I plugged it in properly and It is plugged in just fine. I checked the fuse that it has and it is also okay. however it won't turn on. it clicks the whole time there is power running to it. The clicking soung comes from where the bulb is so do halogens use anything to turn on that could break if so can I replace it? Do halgoens use ballasts and do they click when they are broken I'm a little confused and would appreciate any help you could give me.
I called technical support and they said my power supply is dead. could I get away with using an external power supply for the projector?
okay whoever had this projector last unplugged all the cables from the inside of it and didn't put them back in place. nice..... I plugged them in and it the power supply now works. however they lost a cable in the back of the projector that acts as the power supply for the lcd and circuitry. it resembles a audio cable that would go to a cd drive but it is 2 pins deep and 6 pins long. any links to this cable or one like it would be greatly appreciated.
