Looks great.... probably, because you haven't considered modem users. The page is now extremly slow. J-P I'll advice you fix some of the pictures. The tiny VISA picture is 28 kB when it could be 2-3 kB. I'll guess a web consultant has worked at home with a fast PC and not tested this with a modem connection. Since this is a webshop and you want to sell it's good not to shut out modem customers.
I see also that GENERATOR = Mircosoft Frontpage 5, from what I know Frontpage isn't known to produce high quality html....
.... otherwise it looks nice

Hi Jan-Peter,
Congratulations on your new Website!
Yes, the Frontpage5 is slow, but Microsoft has developed yet another WEB PUBLISHER which is 5 times faster than the frontpage and has much flexibility and HTML generation is excellent...

All links are updated now!
We will check the data of the pictures.
The questions about the UcD700 will be answered in the UcD700 thread:

J-P I just check with 1 MB/s connection and I see that most of your pictures are much bigger than they could be. The webshop has real tiny pictures but it is around 0.5-1 MB! Could be 50-100 k at the most.
The website isn't particulary fast even on 1 MB/s. OK, I can wait a few seconds but with modem it's really a pain.

are the modules stereo or mon as in do you need to buy 2 modules for a stereo setup. think about trying some higher end class d after playing with some tripath kit

Using Opera version 8.5 on Windows XP SP2, the homepage
only shows:
- the menu in the upper-left corner
- the visa/mastercard logo's on the left togehter with the Hypex logo
- the Hypex slogan in the upper-right corner
- horizontal menu at the bottom of the page.
Other than that nothing is displayed, meaning most of the page is like a blank to-be-written sheet.
Clearly not tested and designed to work with other browsers
besides IE. Definately a website build by a beginning amateur.
Former website did also not work with Opera. If this was done to cut save money, be sure that many non-IE browser users will only visit once.

We use internal only Mozilla Firefox.
Yeah, indeed build by our self. We like to invest our money in Class-D technique, measurement tools, not in high class Webdesign.
The most used brouwser are covered and checked.

Hello Jan,
De soep wordt niet zo heet gegeten als ze wordt opgediend.
It is possible to build a simple yet effective website which can work with most browsers used. It is a means of communication on the web and when selling a product, you aim at as many visitors as possible to be able to explore the website, especially with such a great product.
Opera has been around for several years now and the number of users is still growing. Their browsers work with most Operating Systems available today, so they know what it takes to make a good webbrowser.
Some improvement may enable me to visit your website again, but
I cann't order anything from a blank websheet showing no information at all can I?
There are several high-school nerds that can build you a professional website for a reasonable amount or maybe even in exchange for a hypex module. Just my 2 cents.

New page lay out is good IMO. And there is also more detailed documents. Good improvement 🙂
I miss anymore nothing but FAQ and detailed wiring instructions for the UCD-amps (also multi-channel).

My concerns are only:
1 Easy to find what I want
2 Not too slow
3 Don't care about the design as long as it does the work.
.. and my opinoins here was just the "heaviness".

Hi Jan-Peter
> Please post me your questions
Broadening your intent somewhat –
I compared the UcD180 and UcD400 datasheet THD graphs ~
(THD is probably not a great indicator of audible sound quality, per Geddes and others, but using it as some sort of indicator):
In the 180, THD rises rapidly from a very low base, above only 20 watts.
While in the 400, THD is quite flat right to about the rated 400 watts (20 times higher)!
I need an amp for subs, some
- 90 dB sealed (Peerless XLS) and the
- dipole Linkwitz Phoenix sub-bass,
both of which will have heavy EQ at the low end, and not need too many watts to reach their excursion limits.
Linkwitz suggests 60 watts, 100 is plenty. I don’t listen often above 95-100 dB.
** In those situations, would I hear a sound quality difference between the 180 and 400?
** It doesn’t seem to be shown on the site - which power supply is recommended for each amp?
** Are the PS 'modules' stereo or mono?
Thank you
Richard

This is indeed what everbody sees regardless of the used browser. The fact that there isn't much info on the main page yet does not automatically imply that the site hasn't been tested. It has been tested on the latest versions of IE, NS, FF, Opera and a whole bunch of Linux browsers. Sometimes it is better to have a closer look at things before burning them down.
I cannot deny the fact that I am an amateur website builder and I certainly appreciate all the input we get about it and I will decrease the size of the pics to make the pages load swifter.
Thanks
