I was poking around on the web and I came across this for the new Fostex 126En. Europe Audio
What are the precedents for this design? Does it work well? I can see why you would want it to work, but there wouldn't be a lot of point if the BR boof boof overpowered the articulacy of the horn.

Not significantly different (if at all) from the Fostex recommended FE126e TL/BR hybrid. We built it -- not worth the effort at all.

For 'not significantly different', read 'exactly the same, even down to the spelling error in "frequency".' 😉
Doesn't necessarily mean that the box type doesn't work, just that this particular one isn't great.

Fostex has a record of generally having weak recommended enclosures.
I have FE126En on the way, and we will likely 1st put them into FH Mk3.

😀
At least that bodes well for the new driver being at least functional in the old boxes.
