Hey everyone, I'm a college student attending Appalachian State University and have just very recently decided to cleanse myself of the bs of todays consumer electronics. So, I've landed myself in vintage audio and was told that these forums are a great place to start in learning restoration and dabble in other audio electronic hobbies.
I'm currently in the process of restoring a few vintage Technics pieces (SU-7300, ST-7300) that I have acquired for a reasonable amount...for a college student. I'm also restoring a pair of AR-18b speakers that a picked up from the local thrift store for a steal of a price.
Just hoping I can be given some direction as to where I should place my questions in the forum and maybe get some ideas as to where I can get started in diy projects as well!

As to where to place your questions - errrrr - welllll - questions about speakers would be asked in one of the speaker threads. I the case of your AR's in the multi-way speaker forums. Amplifiers go into the proper forum - such as solid state. If you get it wrong one of the moderators will get things put right for you if you ask. Bribing them with promises of beer and photo's of hot collage co-eds ........ hmmmmm ....... well never mind that for now. 🙄
How is your knowledge of electronics, test equipment, and soldering???
BTW - we can fer sure help you get into some great sounding gear!!! But beware 😱 my standard advice to those not yet fully addicted is to run away from here as fast as you can!!! Failing that you are doomed to a room or apartment that is full of stereo gear and a bank account that is even more empty than it is now!!!
