hi people!
well, i have 2 TPA6120 headphone amplifiers and 5 OPA2132P opamps.
i would like to know HOW can i build a headphone Amplifier based on this parts. If there is a Tutorial or something
thank you very much!

Hi there!
Interesting chip there.
I have downloaded the datasheet, the typical application circuit given maybe used as a guide but definite not for a beginner or faint hearted.. 😛
Done some 'google' on it and found a thread on texas intruments here. And at Head-Fi too..
But then again there are other options/choices to make a headphone amp.. any particular reason the need to use this chip?
Have a nice day!

I think you can post your need on the www.head-fi.org
maybe in which can give me more better reply .

TPA6120 is not particularly unknown here so if you use "TPA6120 headphone amp pcb DIY" when you search here and at head-fi.org you will find quite much. I have also made a TPA6120 design
thankyou for your answers!!
now, suppose that i want to make the PCB using this layout that i taken from one of the links that Jazzy939 posted:
can i replace the OPA 604 fro one of my OPA2132p ompamps?
and, how can i do that schematic in Eagle? thanks!

An externally hosted image should be here but it was not working when we last tested it.

have you downloaded Eagle demo version? it is easy to use.
it should be trouble free to use OPA2132 in the referenced schematic.
i also have some 6120 and planning to make a head-amp too.

I tried the TPA6120 and I was not impressed by the results .
In fact " for me" the bass and the low medium seem to be back compared to the LME49600 ...
R5 , C1 , C2 , R1 and R9 are completely unnecessary,
the circuit will be better without them.
Why C1,C2 are unnecessary ? have you tried with and without ?

and "local decoupling" is then complete unnecessary too, isn't it?

This thread has been resurrected from 2009 folks. R5 is recommended in the TI data sheet for the TPA6120 to aid with stability by isolating the non inverting input pin from any source capacitance.
