How Many Units Get Sold

I wonder which ones are the best sellers?
And are we talking boards vs full kits?

I suspect the full kits (ACA, Korg B1, etc.) that have options to get chassis, boards, and "stuffings" have the highest sales numbers & completion rates. I heard an ACA sales number that blew my mind, but I'll call it a rumor at best.

On the other hand, some PCB-only offerings of long-running classics like the Aleph J, F5, etc might have some really high sales numbers, too.

I was told by a wise forum member to be THRILLED if 25% of the Aleph Classic kits I've shipped get built. My gut feeling tells me the number is higher than 25%, but who can say.

Much like ZM, I'm behind on several preamp projects, a DAC, tube phono project, amp repairs for friends, and a speaker project. I told myself I'm taking an amp building break in 2024, let see how long that lasts.

I have built 100% of all rhthatcher Classic Aleph kits I have ordered.

I am 150% thrilled with every single aspect.

Note to those that have not built theirs. I'll take 'em!! :joker: 🙂

You best stop posting and get to work, the most important spec after all is the WAF.
WAF (Wife Acceptance Factor) is a dimensionless number ranging from zero to one. This is applied to a piece of audio equipment. If it's near zero, you are not getting that into the house, period-no ifs, ands or buts. If it's close to one, they you might get it into the house if it's not sited in a conspicuous location. Since I'm single, I gits to have any old tube amp or speaker anywhere I want it.
