How does PAL video look on Lilliput 7"

Hi All,

I am considering building a projector based on the popular Lilliput 7" LCD that has a resolution of 800 by 480, however I am a little concerned about how PAL DVDs look on this monitor.
PAL DVDs (and video) are recorded in 720 by 576.

Are the extra lines cropped, or is the image rescaled?

Can anyone clarify what PAL dvds look like on projectors using the lilliput?
Is the image quality OK?

I have not checked it but i heard that you lose image. This lcds are for NTSC designed olthough they accept PAL as well. You should swich to NTSC output from your DVDplayer if it had.
