How do I turn off the Nview Spectra C panel. It has no power button!

I have been turning it off by just unplugging it, but i'm worried it might somehow damage the panel. I tried the LCD off button on the remote and it doesn't seem to do anything (the remote is working). How do you Spectra C owners turn off your panels?
