Solid state or tube?

For now, only solid state. I have a Sansui 111 tube but not for now.

Have you got a multimeter and an oscilloscope? They are the bare minimum equipment for doing repair work IMO.

A solder extraction machine with suction motor would be a good investment. It is efficient and does not scatter tiny lead particles on your repair PCB.
