I'm interested in using these speakers for small to medium sized gatherings playing hard electronic dance music styles like breakcore.
Has anyone had any experience with them? One of my JBL speakers fried for no apparent reason, and the fuse system didn't work. I'd like to avoid that problem with new speakers. Cheers!

If you're killing speakers at the moment, then you need to go bigger, or accept the limitations of the cabinets you're using. Running cabinets into hard limit all night will kill them, pretty much no matter who makes them - they're not meant to be run that way.
