I've just picked up an integrated amp by Higher Fidelity Ind - Century Series 2K3.
Anyone know anything about it? Triacting Circuit again.
Doesn't like your usual DAC input voltages - too much gain in the amp.
Has unusual pre-amp stage - switch in any input and they all play at the same time. Perhaps a very simple pre section, passive perhaps?
Picked it up for bargain price - was sold as for repair as distortion was reported. A fuse had blown on just one side of the power to the caps so I guess that's all it was as it's playing perfectly.
Any info would be greatly appreciated although I have a feeling I have seen a review of it myself in my old hifi mags - will post anything I find up too.

Weiss Medea and your Sonics Allegrias? That's good company for the amp..
Certainly sounding good into my B&W 805 Matrix from Tandberg 3001A Tuner but need to adjust output level on my Manley Junior DAC to get it to be usable - is bit loud even on the first click of the volume knob. Could be there's an issue with it of course - will have to find the review in Hifi News I'm sure I have..

Just to update - my 2K3 is sounding superb. Excellent wide soundstage with no harshness that I can hear, a fast amp too with good power in the bass.
I keep it on standby so it's been constantly powered for the last 2 months. Definately what it needs..
Still would like to find any info on it if anyone has some..

Hi
Am currently using the EQ-3003 MM/MC RIAA from this company, and simply love it. Not a simple design. When I bought it (from Germany) i serched the net for info, but found very little. I have a German Hi-Fi magazine with a raving review of my preamp, and also found a PDF brochure with different products by "higher Fidelity". Will try to post here if I find it.

That would be great if you could find and post up the brochure - I've still not found anything on my integrated although I'm sure it was reviewed at least briefly in Hifi News. I think that simply because I recognised it when I saw it on Ebay as something unusual and good.
What does the EQ-3003 look like?

Interesting info in this brochure:
