I just got this amp in for repair. The power supply is shot in this amp.
They are using DFP70n06 as the fets. Wondering if there is a good cross to theese?

Ok i put all new fets in the power supply all new gate resistors and checked the drivers they seem to test fine.
when powering it up it will draw 10 amps of current i removed the rectifiers to diable the output section. Amp still draws 10 amps of current.
Wondering where i go from here?

Is the right, falling edge of the gate drive signal perfectly vertical down to within ~2v of ground on every power supply FET?
Is there anyway to check it with a meter ? My friend took off with my scope and sine wave generator to make all the plugs and test leads and ect im going to need to be more productive and spend less time trouble shooting
Put this one to the side until you get your scope back. There's no point in guessing at what's happening if you have a scope.
Perry,
Im back to this amp i took the drivers out for the fets. And forgot what was in there Wondering if you know what drivers they are using for this amp ??

I don't have a source for the originals but the transistor above should be a good sub.
