Thrilled to join this fantastic community! My wife might not share the excitement though, she’s convinced I've already binge-watched every single Hi-Fi video on YouTube. What can I say, the obsession is real 😂.
Quick intro: I'm Awni, originally from Iraq and I've been living in Dubai for the past 10 years.
I'm gearing up to build my first Hi-Fi system and absolutely love DIY projects. I've even built my own custom guitar, so woodworking is right up my alley. Currently eyeing a couple of Troels' designs, I'll share more details soon! 😎

Hope you are well. I am in Dubai too.
I am also working on my first DIY floor standing Loudspeaker. My initial plan was to execute one of Troel's designs, but then steered off because I decided on going active rather than passive, and Troels does not support full active.
I have the design done (on Fusion 360), along with all of the drivers & plate amplifier already purchased.
my biggest challenge at the moment is finding a joinery company executing the design with a high finish. Do you have any leads for carpentery execution?
I am happy to share with you what I have done so far.

I do indeed have someone in Dubai, they're actually doing our kitchen renovation, they're really good but somehow hard to communicate with. I was planning to commission them to build my cabinet (once I decided on the model). I actually visited their workshop in Umm Al Quwain and they're not bad given their considerable prices. They do have CNC machine and worth checking with them. Send me a direct message and let's connect.
