Hi from a rapidly balding oldie!

My interest in audio - we used to call it Hi-Fi - started with a push-pull ECL80valve amp cobbled together from old TV bits & pieces. Driven from a rescued BSR turntable and driving a variety of claped out old radiogram speakers. It was rubbish - absolute rubbish- as indeed was my next amp and the next. Things started to improve when a badly informed customer wanted us to replace his B&O deck with some Garrard junk - oh yes, that B&O falling into my lap made a big improvement 🙂 and I was off.

Lots of water under bridge.

I'm now sat here listening to my o.d. class A FET amplifier - all 5 watts of it driving my o.d. 'bifurcated' horns and wondering (scheming) what to do next - talking of which does anybody know anthing about these HiEND 107 drivers available from hong-kong?

Thanks for that, Cal. That bit about HiEND E-107 speakers was realy just a throw away, but as it happens I found some encouraging chat about them on the site so I've ordered a couple and I'll be trying them in my horns - looking forward to that.
