Another new kid on the block... I'm just getting back into hi-fi, actually. The last time I spent any real money on equipment was in the mid 70's. This time I did things a little different (backwards?). I bought a HT receiver and then started looking at speakers. After doing a bit of research, it seemed to me that most of what I liked I couldn't afford! Then I kind of stumbled across the world of DIY. (Betcha never heard this stuff before...🙂 ) Anyway, it seemed kind of the natural route for me to take, as I'm a hands-on type of person with a fair amount of woodworking experience. Very little electronics background, though.
I've decided to build a 5.1 HT speaker setup & have been prowing around here & a few other sites looking for enough info/ideas to get started. I'll probably ask some pretty basic/dumb questions at first but I will try not to be lazy & pester everyone. I'm fairly sure I can get up to speed with a minimum of kicks in the butt!
Thanks in advance for any & all assistance!
