I'm restoring a pair of Bogen MO-100 (the ones with a pair of 6550) and I need to replace the power cord.
The strain relief is made by Heyco and I found a lot of info on how to remove it, but they all mention the Heyco strain relief which is ~$50 new (saw ~30 on eBay. Does anyone have a cheaper solution?
Thanks
Elias

I have a pair of the Heyco pliers and if you do a lot of repairing they are worth every penny. Regular pliers will work in a pinch but the strain reliefs usually get mangled and the chassis gets scratched.

Thanks. I actually just found a $20 strain relief pliers at amazon.com and there were a few comments that it worked fine on the Heyco. I ordered and will try. If it doesn't work I'll return and get a Heyco.

If the jaws are thin and can fit between the chassis and the large part of the strain relief you should be OK.

Thanks again.
