Found this forum a couple of weeks ago on a google search for DIY Audio and I decided to register today to say hi and whatnot. 😛 I'm really new to DIY audio and I'm still looking for some good books, but I usually learn things semi-quickly.
Anyways, I'll be around. 😛

May I recommend Vance Dickason's The Loudspeaker Cookbook, fairly technical, but it explains about 80% of what you need to know about building your own speakers.
Randy Slone's book High Power Audio Amplifier Construction Manual also gets good recomendations.
I, as a newbie to electronics, have just started The Art of Electronics, By Horowitz and Hill, and this is very well written and comprehensive general guide.
