Have a hertz EP1D with R171 and R71 burnt. Outputs obviously shroted. With R71 shorted im thinking its damaged the driver board, but having a hard time following where it goes into the driver board (ic3) on the schematic. also whats a good replacement for the irfp264n?

A good sub probably depends on the amplifier. Check the IR website to see what they recommend.

thanks perry have that service manual, nothing really matches up with the pin numbers and what im measuring in the amp. pust be some goofy numbering system. and ic3 is 1-16 in the amp section, of the schematic, but 2 seperate 1-8 in the digital board section.
Post a photo of the entire board and another of the area of importance. I'll see if I can match it to something else.
Finally got time to get back to this. Got the last brain fart figured out. Finally took the clamps off and have to exploded irfp064n in the power supply. Seems the entire output section is obsolete, original driver ic IR2184S, drive transistors 2SB1236A and 2SD1857A and the IRFP264N fets are all obsolete. not sure about the PS transistors KTA1023 and KTC1027 yet. Is there replacements that you know of for the obsolete stuff or should this just become yard art? Seems kind of sad that after 4 years a $700cad amp is garbage due to lack of parts
For the power supply drivers, the BD139 and BD140 should work.
For the audio drives, if there is enough space, the KSA1220A and the KSC2690A may work.
For the outputs, the IRFP4229 may work.

IR2184S is not obsolete.
Only one time, but i ordered obsolete transistors from utsource.net
They also was for d class amp for the output section. Seems like transistors was originals, because i know that amp is still working now.

As I can't get originals from any reliable north American source, I'd have a very hard time thinking they are genuine and would last more than 2 minutes.
