I have been given an old powered sub-box that contained a 10 inch subwoofer and an amp. The driver was blown and the remote was missing. My question/s is....Can I use the amp without the remote or Can I somehow bypass the remote functions? The model number of the amp inside is KAC-210D. I found a place that would sell me a remote....BUT it's like $100.00 USD! Dang! Anyone know where I can acquire one for less or somehow use the amp without it?

Try it without the remote. The default mode may allow it to be usable. If not, it appears that making a remote would be relatively simple. The crossover can be adjusted by setting a pair of pins in any of 4 combinations. The volume circuit appears to be a simple VCA. The service manual for the amp (minus the remote circuit) can be found HERE.
Looking at the User Manual, I saw that the driver specified was .75 Ohm. Really? What would be a suitable replacement for that? Multi drivers? DVC?
The amp only has the B+ (12v) supply voltage to drive to the speakers so you have to have a low impedance load to get any significant output power. Multiple drivers or multiple voice coils in parallel will get the load low enough but may not be practical.
