im using a simple OHP and panel setup. i keep the setup on a shelf in the corner of my room, and the screen is in the opposite corner.
in order to block the light from the projector, i draped black flannel fabric from the ceiling to the floor in the corner, with a hole cut for the projector. this seems to be causing the projector to overheat, becuase it is shutting off around an hour into use, wheras it will run for several hours without the curtain. it also will run for quite a while with the curtain but without the panel.
is there another way to block out excess light without the curtain?

I've seen some users build a light tunnel from the lcd to the triplet head. You could drape the material around the triplet head to the lcd. This will allow your projector to breathe. Keep an eye on the lcd temperature though. You might have to add a fan to cool it.
