Hi all,
one of my m3-8 started making feint heatbeat sounds. thinking this was a simple issue, gave it to the local "official" lab (I live in NZ, calling things here official is stretching it).
After 3 months of nagging, they confessed they didn't realize parts for this speaker were not sold anymore. They recommanded another tech but he didn't manage to do anything. Actually, one of them made it worse and its not working at all (a resistor cooks on the amp board).
my questions:
1. anyone knows or have the amp board for this speaker by any chance or knows where to get it? this is the part Amplifier Assembly, PCB - M-Audio - 93-M38-101-400-R (they don't have it)
2. anyone knows a lab in the world that might be able to fix the board if (1) fails?
3. if (1) and (2) fails, assuming the crossovers are fine, is there a way to retrofit the speakers with different 3way amp?
Thanks!
