Hoping the smart folks at DIY can help me with a tweeter circuit redesign for the Tobin modified N-10102 for the Bozak 302 3 way system.
At best I'm a parts changer so bare with me.
I'd like to loose the attenuation circuit and have adjustable tweeter level control. Is it as simple as adding an 8ohm L-pad in place of the T-pad?
I'm also interested in trying a Heil in place of the Bozak tweeters.
Anyone care to jump in?

The L-pad was probably suggested to simplify things. Normally adjustment wouldn't be necessary, but your wanting to change it may mean there is a room placement, or acoustic or electrical integration issue that you notice.
The T-pad impedance is 6.6 ohms. The capacitor is centred on 12kHz, its effect will begin lower than this.
What other circuit will give you a tall top end, a roll-off at the bottom and a shelf in between? Perhaps a small C in parallel with an RbiggerC.

The tweeters can still run a little hot after the Pat Tobin mods and definitely were spikey in their original crossover config, thus his Tpad circuit.
With certain tracks/sources it seems like the ability to tone things down would be beneficial.
As I mentioned, loosing the Bozak tweeters with their short comings and adding a Heil AMT might be an interesting thing.

I'm new to this trying to learn. I was looking at the diagram is it a first order, and doesn't the 1.1 mh inductor give you a 1200 crossover?
That inductor is in a bandpass configuration with the 50uF capacitor, so it would be better to consider instead, the 3mH inductor. This equals 8 ohms at 425Hz. There is still a margin of error because the driver responses could have changed the values needed.
So working through, the tweeter capacitor is 8 ohms at 2,400Hz suggesting the bandpass works around 1kHz, however the bandpass components themselves work around 675Hz. This is a half octave uncertainty.
