Help .. tube amplifier .. 1st !

Hi ,

I really need your help in building my first amplifier ...
I want a 2 x 100 W 8 Ohm Tube amplifier .. or less .. i don't know ...
Please .. please .. help me with the schematic and all the info ... transformers in special ... i need help in makeing them ...
This is my first tube project ...

100 watts... WOW! You must have really inefficient speakers.... or is this for a big Professional installation? My first amp is 4 watts SET, and with 93 dB speakers, I'm pretty happy with it. I can't imagine needing more than 10 or 20 watts!

So yeah, 100W ain't easy, tube or solid state. You might be able to find a kit for like $500 or more but if you're commited to building it yourself, you WILL be starting smaller.

How i can make my output transformer ?? Wind it myself ...
Hmm .. maybe a simple 10 W design 🙂 i don't have the knoleage to build a 100 W one ..

here's one for up to 70W depending on setup. but it can be expensive depending on wich parts you use.

Ah, that's better. 😉 You can start with a 6V6 SE or PP amp, such as Revision 3 or Frankenhouse, detailed on my website.

probably, if you're going to drive Magnepan or B&W Nautilus. i have two friends who uses those speakers. the B&W is driven by a 100wpc Jadis and the Magnepan is driven by a 150wpc Audio Research.

another friend has Sonus Faber Electa Amator II and is driven by a Conrad Johnson 75wpc.

then i have this friend who drives his Sonus Faber Guarneri with a 300B 😱

try this one. only about 3.5W but accoring to most people that should be enough depending on your speakers. AND it's quite a good manual for a first-timer 🙂
