Help, SS RL-p15 sealed, need amp & PR's
Hello everyone,
I need some help w/ my sub. I'm going to build a 4.5 cu ft sealed box for a SS RL-p15D2 driver. I'd like to go ported but the box was too big. (7.5^ft)
So I figured I could use a Dayton 1000w plate amp.(need a quite amp) But I was told the rumble filter was not good to have.
So I found the following amps:
Adire ADA600 600w $549,
O Audio 500w BASH $239,
Keiga 1000w $510,
Keiga 500w $350
Which amp should I use ?
Would adding a Passive Radiator help w/ lower extension & SPL in my sealed box ?
Which PR would you recomend ?
My room is 20 x 22 x 10ft, later I may build a 2nd sub. I listen to 50/50 music/HT... and my pre is a avm20v2 ...
Thank you for your help.
Regards,
Jose

Hi,
I think you can bypass or mod the rumble filter in that partsexpress amplifier.
If you don't want that amplifier, I suggest going with a Pro amplifier if you can tolerate some fan noise when playing the subwoofer at very high output levels. Why? Better price/performance ratio. Keiga I've heard they are not that good. Adire are really good but overpriced IMHO. O Audio should be good, but expensive too. If you don't want that rumble filter, I'd go with a Rythmik Audio amplifier, it's 380W RMS, less than a dB difference versus that O Audio amplifier. It's also cheaper.
Yes you could use PRs to improve the low end. I recommend PRs from Acoustic Elegance. What's your budget?
