Folks i have a pair of Impulse Taus and i need to repair the mid-range driver (inside the horn chamber) as the surround material rots and disintegrated so need reconing.
question is, does anyone know how to access to the horn chamber in order to remove the driver?
your pointer greatly appreciated, pls send email to indiejah@yahoo.co.uk

The horn as a whole is removable.Just pull it out and you see the rear of the mid.Unsolder the wires and you are done.
Mikvous and Martin thx for ur input. For some reasons i'm not able to pull the horn unit out. I tried pulling the piece of wood in the middle of the unit but afraid it might break it.
Any other clue u can give me. Thx

Mayby someone has glued the horn chamber in place. It's supposed to be removable. From what I remember you can not have access to it from nowhere else.
Check for a hidden screw fixing retaining the horn in the main body of the speaker...
I believe you may need to remove the tweeter to access a screw (upside down) and wooden plug that secures the midrange horn in place. Remove that screw and
plug, then pull out the midrange horn out of the speaker.
