hello all....ive been trying to find the ic chips out of a teac ge-20 graphic equalizer, it has wrote on them in this order: 4558DF, JRC, 9834, I can find the same but without the f on the end the people selling them cant say for sure weather they will be the same, im not even sure if the ics are broke but its had something spilt on it and one of the tracks on the pcb had blown off and left a black mark on the pcb, ive now fixed that but wanted to replace all the componants to get it working again and give it a good service, this would be my first project, anyway, love the site theres loads of info i can look threw, i hope someone can help me out, it would be appreciated, thanks, mozmax

Alternative type code is NJM4558. Similar characteristics as uA741, but not pin compatible with most common dual operational amplifiers.

4558 is industry standard dual op-amp pinout, worked with this and its slightly better specified relative the 4559 in low end consumer electronics for more than a decade. The 5532 is pin for pin compatible and in many applications will drop in with minimum fuss assuming good supply decoupling and layout.
